01 — Data Collected
When you submit the contact form, we collect only information you voluntarily provide — name and email. Separately, the site runs privacy-respecting analytics (Umami) that collect anonymized usage data — page views, referrer, device and browser type, and approximate region — without cookies, fingerprinting, or personal identifiers. The Silver chat assistant sends no data anywhere by default: it answers questions locally in your browser from an on-device snapshot of the site's content, and your conversation history is stored only in your browser's local storage — it is never transmitted to any server. If you choose to enable the optional WebDAV sync (from the chat panel's sync settings), your conversation history is sent directly to the WebDAV server **you** configured — typically one you own — and your endpoint credentials are stored only in your browser's local storage. Sync is off unless you enable it.
02 — How Data Is Used
Submitted data is used solely to respond to your inquiry. Analytics data is used only to understand which pages are useful and to improve the site. Your information is never sold, rented, or shared with advertisers or unaffiliated third parties.
03 — Third-Party Services
This site uses Web3Forms for contact submissions and Umami for privacy-respecting analytics, with the analytics endpoint hosted at plankanalytics.vercel.app. Form data is routed through Web3Forms' API and subject to their data handling practices. Analytics are cookie-less and respect the Do Not Track setting when enabled. The Silver chat assistant involves no third-party service by default — questions are processed entirely in your browser and are never sent over the network. The optional WebDAV sync (off by default) communicates only with the WebDAV endpoint you configure yourself; it is not a third-party service of this site.
04 — Data Retention
Contact messages are retained only as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry. Analytics data is stored in aggregated form and is not tied to any individual. Silver chat history is stored locally in your browser only, and can be cleared at any time with the Clear or New chat buttons in the chat panel. If you have enabled the optional WebDAV sync, clearing locally does not delete copies already synced to your server — remove the file there if you want it gone everywhere.
05 — Your Rights
You have the right to request access, correction, or deletion of any personal data. Use the contact form; requests are processed within a reasonable timeframe. Because analytics data is anonymized, it cannot be traced back to you.
06 — Updates
This policy may be revised periodically. Material changes will be noted here with an updated date.
